I wanted to make a pattern today that did NOT make me think of a bandana, which is what the last few days work has become. I started with a floral motif and then layered it over an abstracted star shape.
Today's Portuguese city is Moita, a beach town located on a protected inlet of the bay across from Lisbon. I looked at this unusually shaped building and used it to influence the star shape, and drew the color palette from the colorfully painted boats in the harbor.
