Ponto do Sol is a small town on the island of Madeira. Historically, fishing was a primary income generator which made me think about nets.
As this pattern was coming together I began to see that by crossing the lines and make them both convex and concave I was able to develop a sense of movement and action. This became even more apparent as I moved colors around and created a feeling of depth. This is one of the more complex patterns in the series and provides a nice counterpoint to the simpler patterns.
