Thread Into Collage Workshop

Explore the use of threads and stitching in collage processes.

Thread can be used as an alternative to adhesives for attaching collage materials and as an embellishment or design element.

In this workshop I’ll share the techniques I’ve come up with that make it possible to attach elements to base materials such as paper, cloth, book covers, cardboard, and just about anything you can think of using.

Thread and stitches can also be used as design elements on glued paper collage, and to attach buttons, beads, wire, ceramics, glass and found objects.

You may bring a piece you’ve been working on to embellish, or create a new piece from the base up.
