Handstitching Workshop
A stitching workshop for students with a basic understanding of stitches and techniques looking to take their work to the next level.
During the workshop we will take time to think about and explore the versatility and strength of embroidery for mark making, emphasizing the slow, meditative rhythm of hand stitching and the pleasure of having time to create. I’ll review the tools and techniques that I use in my work, and answer any questions you have on the processes I prefer.
We’ll cover advanced embroidery stitches and combinations of running stitch, backstitch, lazy daisy, french knot, chain stitch and blanket stitch.
I’ll be available to answer questions on projects you have in process or advise you on steps to create a design or idea you are imagining.
Classes are held in my Dye Garden Studio in the San Gabriel Valley. (Address will be emailed to you after sign-up)
Private classes are also available. Email me for more info.
